KI, a world class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a MDM Specialist to join our Bonduel manufacturing facility.


This position coordinates and supports manufacturing operations through the use of the Business Planning & Control System (BPCS) software.


Responsibilities:


Data Setup:



  • Coordinate and set up of custom product models.
  • Coordinate and manage all new product introductions and maintenance to existing products within BPCS software.
  • Serve as analytical problem-solver in data error and resolution.


  • Serve as a backup to any MDM functions (data load).
  • Establish structure, rules, routings, variables and calculations for use in configurations.


Data Control:



  • Conduct BOM, Routing, Item Master, work center definition and labor standard audits to ensure 99+% accuracy.
  • Maintain ownership of data integrity in the areas of: BOM, configuration, routings, production and packing work center definition and item master related information.
  • Maintain existing product data in BPCS.


Planning:



  • Assist in prioritizing engineering and marketing data collection efforts.
  • Prioritize and allocate MDM resources to support daily operation objectives.
  • Provide expertise and direction in the area of new product offering and data management.


Communication:



  • Serve as the interface to corporate Finance. Understand and manage labor variance analysis, product gross margins and maintenance of cost system.
  • Serve as the key contact for Customer Service and Order Entry questions as related to facility product offering.
  • Train and educate internal personnel on hard bill of materials and data management.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A minimum of two years of experience in data management in manufacturing
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) environment specifically relating to bills of material, routings and data management
  • Thorough understanding and use of manufacturing bills of materials, routings, product configurations and BPCS
  • Strong computer skills in BPCS, Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Access, Showcase Query, AS400/Query and Outlook
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
