Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Maintenance Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight of all maintenance operations across the manufacturing facility. This role ensures optimal reliability, efficiency, and safety of equipment, utilities, and infrastructure to support production objectives. The Manager leads maintenance strategy development, manages capital projects, and mentors maintenance leaders and technicians to build a high-performing, safety-focused maintenance organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute long-term maintenance strategies aligned with corporate goals, including asset management, reliability engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance supervisors, engineers, and technicians to build a strong maintenance culture.
  • Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) teams to ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Lead capital improvement projects including equipment installation, facility upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics for maintenance operations, analyzing data to drive improvements in uptime, cost, and efficiency.
  • Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and vendor management.
  • Drive implementation of advanced maintenance technologies such as CMMS systems, IoT-enabled predictive analytics, and automation tools.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between senior plant leadership and maintenance teams, ensuring alignment of maintenance priorities with production goals.
  • Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective actions to address systemic issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success in leading large maintenance teams and driving measurable improvements in equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems.
  • Proficiency in CMMS, TPM, lean manufacturing, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with capital projects and vendor negotiations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and change management abilities.
