Network Administrator

Now, we're entering a new phase of growth and are looking for a Network Administrator to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable connectivity across our enterprise systems and facilities.

What You'll Do


  • Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, firewalls, switches, and wireless systems.
  • Monitor network performance, capacity, and security; proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Manage Cisco and Fortinet firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
  • Administer VPNs and remote access solutions to support secure, flexible work.
  • Implement and enforce network security policies in alignment with compliance requirements.
  • Partner with Systems and Helpdesk teams to resolve escalated network-related issues.
  • Maintain documentation of network architecture, configurations, and processes.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and redundancy projects.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new networking technologies to support business needs.
  • Provide after-hours support for critical network events and participate in on-call rotation.


Requirements


  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in network administration.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification (required).
  • Strong understanding of LAN/WAN concepts, routing, switching, and subnetting.
  • Direct experience managing Cisco and Fortinet networking technologies.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Solid knowledge of network security practices and compliance standards.
  • Experience managing firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across network, hardware, and software domains.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with IT teammates.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred


  • Cisco CCNA or higher certification
  • Experience with Zscaler or other cloud-based security solutions and/or Azure networking services (VNets, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, NSGs).
  • Experience supporting organizations in highly regulated industries (e.g., DoD, aerospace, defense).


Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move about regularly throughout the day and lift / carry up to 25 pounds. Must have manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment as well as networking tools and equipment (e.g., rack-mounted gear, cabling, and diagnostic tools). Must be physically capable of installing and maintaining networking hardware in office and lab environments.

Work Environment

This position typically operates in a standard office setting and manufacturing environment. This role requires use of standard office equipment and may involve exposure server rooms, networking equipment, and cabling infrastructure. This position may have exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and non-climate-controlled environments. May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) depending on the environment. This is a fast-paced work environment and requires cross departmental collaboration with independent and team-based responsibilities. Standard works hours for this position are Monday-Friday, with occasional after hours work as operational needs demand.

ITAR Requirement

In compliance with International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR), candidates must be U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) or individuals granted asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
