Furnance Operator Trainee

Start your career in manufacturing with hands-on training! Staffmark is hiring a Furnace Operator Trainee in Mound House, NV! As a Furnace Operator Trainee, you'll learn to operate and monitor furnaces, ensure product quality, and maintain a safe work environment while working closely with production and quality teams.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Load and unload parts onto furnace bases and grates.
• Set up furnace loads using fixtures, ceramics, graphite, and thermocouples.
• Monitor furnace runs, programs, gauges, and recording instruments.
• Make necessary adjustments to maintain proper operation.
• Report non-conformances and work closely with quality and engineering teams.
• Safely operate forklifts, cranes, and shop equipment.
• Follow all safety rules and uphold company core values.
• Complete accurate documentation and maintain organized records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing or heavy machinery experience preferred (but not required - we're willing to train!).
• Ability to read and follow work orders, schematics, and instructions.
• Basic knowledge of inspection tools and shop equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in environments with heat, cold, noise, and moving machinery.
• Must be reliable, safety-focused, and able to work with minimal supervision.
