Roads, Walks, and Ground Coordinator

 

PEMEX Deer Park is seeking a Roads, Walks, and Ground Coordinator to oversee and coordinate a wide range of site maintenance activities, including roads, grounds, vegetation, pest control, building upkeep, and HVAC, while ensuring safe and efficient execution with no disruption to operations. You will assist with planning, scheduling, and permitting of work, keep stakeholders informed throughout execution, and provide daily leadership to field crews and contractors. You will collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, safety, and other site functions, while managing and prioritizing a dynamic worklist based on risk and customer need

To succeed as a Roads, Walks, and Ground Coordinator, you must have:

  • Solid background in maintenance with 5–7 years of oil & gas industry experience, including oversight of trades.
  • Proven expertise in building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, structures) and civil maintenance (excavation, concrete, asphalt, road repairs).
  • Level “B” permit qualified with the ability to achieve Level “A” (High-Risk) certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP; experience with Total Control for on-site rentals preferred.

 

As a Roads, Walks, and Ground Coordinator, you will:

  • Lead daily safety meetings, enforce site safety culture, and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., TDA, TCEQ).
  • Oversee and direct field execution of maintenance activities, spending most time in the field to drive productivity and remove barriers.
  • Communicate daily plans, status updates, and medium- to long-term work progress clearly to stakeholders.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including contractor timesheet approvals, requisitions, and permitting.
  • Continuously seek improvements in work execution, contribute to lessons learned, and adapt to changing priorities while balancing safety, quality, cost, schedule, and environmental performance.

PEMEX Deer Park is a highly complex refinery located 18 miles east of Houston in Deer Park, TX. It is part of the Pemex group, a fully integrated oil company in the Americas, working across the entire value chain: exploration, production, industrial processing/refining, logistics, and marketing. The refinery’s rated capacity is 340,000 barrels per day and has the feed flexibility to process multiple grades of crude oil to produce high-quality transportation fuels the world needs.
