The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of Houston area parts branch locations as well as distribution channels. Duties include managing personnel and ensuring proper staffing levels, overseeing and growing parts sales at mini-branch locations.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Branch Oversight & Operations


    • Manage day-to-day operations by traveling to each assigned branch location to ensure efficiency, profitability, customer satisfaction and team success.
    • Hire, supervise, and support branch staff by maintaining proper staffing levels, managing effective work schedules, organizing team meetings, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a strong culture of development and success.
    • Oversee inventory processes and ensure stock accuracy, order handling, and warehouse organization.
    • Monitor and improve parts sales performance, and support CAT financial, and ecommerce company strategy initiatives.
    • Promote collaboration between branches and foster open communication across the service, rental and parts teams.


  • Customer Experience


    • Ensure clear internal communication of policies, processes, and announcements, while organizing effective external communication when needed. This should be consistent with parts department policies and expectations to ensure consistency.
    • Uphold high service standards, provide structured customer training when required, and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
    • Collaborate with branch management and sales teams to implement sales campaigns and marketing initiatives as needed.


  • Reporting & Analysis


    • Analyze and report on branch financials, inventory accuracy, backorder and stock order reports, parts performance metrics, parts policies, and customer feedback platforms; identify actionable opportunities and collaborate with stakeholders to improve performance and drive continuous improvement.


  • Safety & Compliance


    • Maintain facility and company standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
    • Lead safety initiatives and conduct regular meetings to promote a safety-first culture.
    • Address and escalate potential safety or operational concerns appropriately.




Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a technical field preferred (experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a parts, sales or operations role.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop teams while leading policy's and procedures with the company's best interest in mind
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and business software tools.
  • Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build relationships at all levels.


  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
