STGi is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) LVN to provide services at the William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home.



The William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home is located in Temple, TX. Our staff provides compassionate and specialized care to our nation's veterans. We focus on providing the best experience for residents and their families.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Assist the Director Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing services department in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the facility.


* Work with the Minimum Data Set/Resident Assessment Instrument (MDS/RAI) Coordinator to schedule, conduct and submit resident assessments.


* Allocate resources efficiently while ensuring that residents obtain their highest practical physical, mental and psycho-social well-being.


* Collaborate with medical professionals, consultants and organizations including government and advocacy groups.


* Coordinate with other resident services to ensure continuity of resident care.


* Assist the Director of Nursing in obtaining staffing information that must be posted on a daily basis.


* Ensure that direct nursing care is provided by a licensed nurse, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) qualified to perform the task.

Required Experience

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:


* Prefer two (2) year(s) of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility or other related health care facility.


* Must have, as a minimum of six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.



REQUIRED EDUCATION:


Must possess, as a minimum a nursing degree from an accredited college.


Must possess a current unencumbered active license to practice as a LVN in the state of Texas.
