Payroll Specialist I

We're looking for a Payroll Specialist I to support contractor and vendor payroll operations. This role involves processing payments, handling wage garnishments, resolving payroll issues, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Review, select, and process direct deposit and/or check payment batches for C2C vendors. Mail checks and remit advices. Handle stop payments, replacements, and fraud investigations as needed.
• Respond to customer service emails and calls based on assigned tickets.
• Review and reconcile late-submitted contractor timecards, including input of adjustments during contractor payroll processing.
• Process contractor terminations by updating payroll cards in UKG and GP.
• Manage wage garnishments by responding to notices and setting up payroll deduction cards (e.g., child support, state, federal).
• Collect missing C2C invoices by reviewing reports and contacting vendors to obtain documents that may delay payment release.

• 0-2 years of experience in payroll or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., UKG, Great Plains) is a plus
