About the Role

The Casino Governance Engineer will be responsible for the ongoing technical support related to online casino for the BetMGM platform, working with the Casino Technical Managers, and Sr. Manager, Casino Governance to develop and implement the overall Casino Strategy and augmenting the overall Gaming Brands, that drives growth & value by being 'best in class', differentiated to competitors & leads the market and is as profitable as possible, including: technical integrations, features, content roadmap and launch plan & technical supplier management gaming operations and regulatory approvals.

The role is responsible for assisting the technical planning and activity for products in Casino and the continued technical support of the live casino lobbies.

Responsibilities

  • With the support of the Casino Governance Manager, ensure technology and operational activities are conducted in conformity with all applicable State laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures

  • Assist with new casino supplier integrations and technical improvements to existing casino offerings

  • Assist with game, integration, and casino product submissions to state regulatory bodies where online casinos are applicable

  • Maintain casino games certification and approval repository for State and independent test laboratories

  • Communicate relevant regulatory changes and/or technical requirements to responsible teams

  • Deep understanding of the market, product, and the customer

  • Drive growth & value by being 'best in class', differentiated to competitors & commercially leads the market and is as profitable as possible

  • Work with BI to identify product and customer opportunities and create, with the team, plans to capitalize on them

  • Supporting internal and external queries to help resolve casino related issues

  • With the support of Casino Technical managers, ensure technology and operational activities are conducted in conformity with all applicable State laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • (Preferred) Bachelor's Degree in a related field computer science, computer engineering or equivalent technical backgrounds

  • High school or equivalent

  • 1+ year of experience with gaming compliance or technical delivery role

  • Experience working with Lottery, Gaming and/or Tribal regulators, and other Gaming authorities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work as part of a team

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to interpret regulatory documents

  • Good self-organization, ability to work independently and to meet deadlines

  • Competent use of standard Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to collaborate with technology and product teams

  • Excellent technical writing skills

  • Knowledge of IT systems, software development, IT management best practices

The annual salary range for this position is $69,120 to $90,720. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.

Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements

As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment. Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.

In addition, candidates must comply with and support the company's responsible gambling policies, procedures and initiatives.

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
