$2,130.46 to $2,343.51 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs skilled professional work developing, planning, and administering projects for the Public Works Department which provide a critical County service and which are complex in nature and/or large in scope. Work involves providing GIS technical support for the needs of Public Works Programs, developing online web-based applications including Survey123 for mobile data collection, infrastructure inspections, condition assessments, and emergency management, creating and maintaining web maps, dashboards, and other GIS applications, managing, editing, and maintaining the Public Works GIS database; creating charts, graphs, maps, and slides to support budget presentations, community outreach efforts, and decision making processes. The candidate has a role in the Department's disaster preparation and disaster recovery efforts.



REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Management, Political Science, Social Science, a field related to the area of assignment, or any closely related field PLUS four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience in administering or managing programs or projects in the maintenance of transportation infrastructure, such as roadways, drainage, sidewalks, guardrails, and bridges, along with office experience leading a team in the data compilation and mapping of public sector transportation and building assets, and capital improvement projects. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. A Master's degree is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
