Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Banner, Slate and DegreeWorks. Knowledge of Slate or other CRM programs. Familiarity with higher education and graduate degrees.
Position Summary
The Student Services Professional II is primarily responsible for monitoring the completion of degree requirements for graduate students as reported to the Graduate School. This role includes processing forms and clearing degrees for assigned graduate students, using discretion and independent judgment with respect to compliance with Graduate School policies. This position will advise faculty, staff and graduate students as needed throughout the student's progress to complete degree requirements. In addition, this position will work with the Slate core team to implement the transition of graduate degree forms to Slate online system and support the continuous improvement of systems and processes for monitoring graduate students' degree progress and completion.

The successful applicant will have excellent customer service skills and the ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced office environment. Attention to detail and the ability to take actions based on established policies and procedures are essential.

  • Supporting assigned students with graduation and degree completion.
  • Specific duties include identifying and reviewing requirements for students who have applied for graduation each semester, processing relevant academic milestones (e.g., comprehensive exams, exit exams, defenses) and clearing students for graduation each semester.

  • Lead and manage the Enrolled Student Services Slate system for enrolled student processing. Assist with form building, query building, creation of messages to enrolled students.
  • Assist with workflow design improvements to support enrolled student tracking.
  • Assist with design and creation of dashboard portals in Slate.
