Your Team, Your Impact

As a Hardware Design Principal Engineer with Marvell, you'll be a member of the Central Engineering business group.

What You Can Expect

  • Design validation boards for product evaluation, together with silicon designers, validation engineers, and other hardware / software engineers.
  • Analyze end user's technical requirement and develop circuit schematics of hardware and evaluation platforms to demonstrate Marvell's products for system applications.
  • Board design may involve schematic design, component selection, signal integrity and power integrity, safety, reliability and so on.
  • Review and support customer designs using Marvell's products, to ensure satisfying application requirement.
  • Conduct board bring-ups, testing and debug to confirm circuit designs.
  • Write technical reports and application notes.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10-15 years of related professional experience OR Master's degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 5-10 years of experience.

  • Familiar with IEEE 802.3 and optical module / AEC MSAs for datacenter applications.

  • 5+ years experience with active and passive components for high-speed and high-density applications.

  • Solid high-speed mixed-signal design experience at board level and skills in design trade-offs for signal integrity and power integrity.

  • Familiar with schematic capture tools and signal integrity simulation tools.

  • Familiar with PCB fabrication and assembly technologies.

  • Hands-on experience in using various lab equipment for measurements and debug.

  • Skills and experience in FPGA design is a plus.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-motivated and team-oriented individual, willing to take project ownership and drive projects to completion.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

143,200 - 214,500, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
