Job Description:

Serves as a visual storyteller who plays a vital role in advancing Trinity University's brand through compelling photography and videography. Responsible for conceptualizing, capturing, and producing multimedia content that informs, inspires, and engages key audiences across the University's print and digital platforms, including social media, the website, and news and marketing materials.

Works collaboratively with strategists, writers, and designers to bring Trinity's stories to life through both planned productions and real-time coverage. Blends technical skill and artistic vision with a strategic understanding of communications goals, creating multimedia content that enhances recruitment, alumni engagement, fundraising, and institutional storytelling.

JOB DUTIES

  • Develops, creates, and deploys multimedia content-includes photography, video, and motion graphics-for use across Trinity's strategic communications and marketing platforms, supporting institutional goals around brand awareness, recruitment, advancement, and engagement.

  • Produces high-quality visual assets tailored to a variety of formats and distribution channels, such as social media, web, digital ads, print publications, and on-campus screens, with attention to audience and platform best practices.

  • Collaborates on the development of creative campaigns, contributing innovative content ideas, visual storytelling concepts, and execution strategies that align with Trinity's voice and visual identity.

  • Manages production logistics, including scheduling, scouting, lighting, shooting, directing, and editing for both photography and video projects; and ensures timely delivery of content to stakeholders.

  • Maintains and recommends multimedia equipment, including researching, testing, and proposing purchases or repairs of cameras, lighting, audio, and editing tools to keep the team operating at a high level.

  • Follows established asset management protocols, ensuring all digital assets are properly tagged, archived, and organized within the University's digital asset management (DAM) system for future use and retrieval.

  • Serves as an in-house expert and resource for best practices in visual content production, advising campus partners on creative approaches and ensuring consistency and quality across projects.

  • Upholds and applies Trinity's brand guidelines, ensuring all content meets visual and editorial standards and reflects the University's identity with professionalism, creativity, and accuracy.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.

  • Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.

  • Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATION

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Communications, Graphic Design, Video Production, Photography or related field.

EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • One year of experience creating original photography and video using tools such as: Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop) and video editing software (Premiere, After Effects).

  • Excellent collaborative and creative problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and video editing software.

  • Strong communication skills, with a focus on building and maintaining positive relationships.

  • A commitment to continuous learning in creative innovations, software, and industry trends.

  • Proactive and self-motivated team player capable of taking initiative.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • All jobs require a current Criminal Background Check (CBC).

  • Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed for events and projects.
