Who you are:

As an ETL Developer, you have the perfect blend of ETL experience, along with the experience in Health Insurance concepts (claims, pharmacy, regulatory programs such as HEDIS, etc.) to successfully design and implement data engineering solutions in a dynamic, high-productivity team.

What you'll do:



  • Design, develop, document, and manage ETL (Exchange, Transfer, Load) processes for database and data warehouse solutions.
  • You are involved in the design of technical and functional requirements for data integration projects.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining ETL mappings for multiple development projects.
  • Assist in the development of reporting and analytics solutions for the data warehouses.
  • Work closely with the data architects to ensure that the models are loaded, using effective and efficient ETL practices.
  • Evaluates reported defects and performance problems related to ETL.
  • Participate in setting and enforcing departmental standards for analysis, development and quality assurance within the ETL process.


What you'll bring:



  • 5+ years' experience designing ETL solutions for data migration or data integration.
  • 3+ years of SQL Server experience or other relational database management systems
  • Knowledge of medical coding systems, i.e. ICD10, CPT, or HCPCS is desirable.

    • Knowledge of Managed Care and Health Insurance concepts to include HEDIS, Stars, and other NCQA programs is highly preferred


  • Expertise and experience in the use of Informatica PowerCenter ETL development tool is required

    • Working knowledge of other ETL development tools and/or other software development languages (Python, PowerShell, C#, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, etc.) is desirable


  • The ability to read and understand data model (ER) diagrams.
  • A thorough knowledge of data warehouse and data management principles and processes.
  • Understanding of ETL advanced concepts of data flow, data enrichment, data consolidation, change data capture and transformation.
  • Understanding of the range of options and best practices for common ETL design techniques such as change data capture, key generation and optimization.
  • Significant experience with data quality, data profiling, metadata management and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL programming, query writing, query performance tuning, and database technologies.
  • Experience in developing Entity Relationship (ER) and dimensional models, data architecture and data warehousing.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with staff, peers and customers.
  • A degree in Computer Science or related technology field

    • Work experience may substitute for some educational requirements.
    • Additional education may be substituted for some experience.

Salary Range: Minimum 41.32/hour - Maximum 72.31/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
