Summary of Job Duties:The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff position of Administrative Specialist III in the School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences (SAFHS) works under the general supervision of the Assistant Dean for Extension and Outreach. The specialist performs clerical office duties, including assisting Extension personnel with completing work-related tasks in the Workday program, set up and manage office files, process purchase orders for farm equipment supplies, repairs and farm inputs, process documents for repairs and maintenance of facilities, process checks from Lonoke Farm sales, follow up with farm employees for various work-related reports and updates, process revenue from sales of farm crops (rice and soybeans), process requisitions for farm inputs (seeds, fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, etc.), process payments for farm bills (electricity, water, telephone, internet, trash collection, etc.), process bids for purchase of farm equipment and farm inputs (fertilizers, seeds, weed control chemicals, etc.), assist with the preparation of documents for collaborative projects, and assist in the preparation for Agricultural Field days, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications:

A formal education equivalent to a high school diploma, plus one year of clerical experience; must be able to operate general office equipment. Successful applicant must have skills in the use of computer software packages including Workday, database and spreadsheet software, such as Excel and Access; word processing skills and be able to use MS Word & Publisher, must be able to exercise good judgment in supervisor's absence; exercise courtesy and use tact when dealing with the public; and must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with professional staff and associates. Excellent command of spoken and written Standard English is required.
