The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Lenfest Center for Sustainable Energy (LCSE) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student to assist with website management and faculty logistical communications. This role is ideal for a student interested in digital communication, and academic administration.

Responsibilities



  • Website Management

    • Assist in updating and maintaining the Center's website content, including news, events, publications, and profiles.
    • Upload media, format text, and ensure web content is clear, accurate, and up to date.
    • Coordinate with staff and faculty to gather relevant updates for the website.
    • Support basic design and layout improvements, adhering to Columbia University branding guidelines.


  • Faculty & Program Logistics

    • Draft and send logistical emails to faculty and affiliated researchers regarding meetings, events, and internal deadlines.
    • Maintain distribution lists and help coordinate schedules and RSVPs as needed.
    • Track and organize responses or actions required for key communications.




Minimum Qualifications



  • Strong written communication skills; Attention to detail and organization ability.
  • Experience with website platforms and content management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
