Other duties may be assigned above and beyond this job description to assist in the training process and goal achieving in order to meet the requirements/expectations set forth by THQ Command/DHQ Command/Candidate Secretary. These responsibilities may take place during official working hours, but may extend beyond established working hours to accommodate the necessary requirements (this can include additional goals established by the Candidate Secretary above and beyond the standard goals set by THQ Command). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. The Salvation Army will attempt to satisfy requests as long as the accommodation needed is reasonable and no undue hardship would result. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information. WORK SCHEDULE: The work schedule is to include one scheduled day off, and one light day (additional time off is at the Corps Officer's discretion and in keeping with Salvation Army policy). A light day means if all work is complete and there are no special events, outings, Christmas efforts, Corps, Divisional, and/or Territorial events, the day is off. For most weeks, Friday is the scheduled day off, and Saturday is the light day. There is some flexibility according to need. UNIFORMS: For Sundays the minimum requirement is white shirt and dark blue or black pants, black shoes. For weekday youth activities and office wear, polo type shirt with The Salvation Army Shield or Crest is required. Some Divisional and/or Territorial events will require fatigue uniform with epilates and/or tunic. These are required for Sundays, and Divisional/Territorial events. PROTECT THE MISSION: All persons working with children must attend and satisfactorily complete Sacred Boundaries E-learning as well as other PTM training sessions.
