Government Property Accountability Officer

Key Role:

Maintain and track compliant records of Government Property (GP) in AssetSmart. Ensure proper receipt, tagging, tracking, storage, use, and disposition of GP. Lead and support GP internal audits. Lead, support, and conduct periodic inventories, report lost, damaged, or destroyed property. Support proposal reviews for GP clauses and requirements. Develop, conduct, and provide training and guidance to Program Managers regarding the proper use and handling of GP. Implement process improvement. Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working with Government Property lifecycle requirements

• Experience in using AssetSmart, PIEE, or MS Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

• Experience with Lifecycle planning

• Knowledge of FAR 52.245-1, DFAR, and government property regulations, ensuring compliance and supporting system assessments

• Ability to utilize analytics and metrics dashboarding

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Government Property Management

• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including collaboration

• Bachelor's degree

• Government Property Certifications such as CPPA or CPPS Certification
