Data Governance Lead

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Lead to support the development and execution of a data management strategy across a complex platform and AI tooling ecosystem, multiple disparate data sources, data governance processes, data domains, and teams. This role serves to establish a foundation for our clients to expand their cloud footprint and further leverage AI and ML technologies.

As the Data Governance Lead, you will design strategies to deploy processes for continuous data management and AI governance. You will be responsible for designing and establishing robust data management structures and models to ensure the integrity, availability, and security of our data assets. You will operate on teams with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision and supervise employees in technical competencies. You will serve as a point of escalation for governance, data quality, and protection issues and will work closely with product teams to improve the quality and value of core data assets, respond to regulatory protection requirements, and support the strategic requirements of the department.

You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions within government regulated environments, including data management or governance initiatives

  • Experience managing dispersed teams and collaborating with top-level clients

  • Experience establishing enterprise-wide agile processes and standards that drive master data and metadata management

  • Experience working with AI technology stack and practices

  • Knowledge of data management principles, methodologies, and best practices, including data architecture, data quality, metadata management, and master data management

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience improving processes and efficiencies in data and team management

  • Experience developing high-quality briefings for senior federal government leadership

  • Experience with modern Cloud computing technologies, including AWS or Azure

  • Possession of excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Master's degree in Information Systems or Library Science

  • AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure Certification

  • Project Management Professional Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
