Temple University's Institutional Advancement is searching for a Director, Gift and Administration.

Position Summary:

Temple University Institutional Advancement (IA) is seeking a Director of Gift and Record Administration to oversee a program that serves a department of 150 fundraising and engagement professionals. The successful candidate will be leader who can craft a vision of excellence for the program and then strategically execute that vision through the careful management of time and resources. The ability to support and inspire a team through a time of rapid change is also a key requirement of this position. The position reports directly to the Associate Vice President, Advancement Operations. This is an exciting time to be at Temple University. With a new university president and new vice president of Institutional Advancement who are both strong, seasoned leaders, we are set up for success in our $1.5 billion comprehensive campaign. We will also soon kick off the implementation of a new CRM, so this is a rare opportunity for the Director of Gift and Record Administration to have input from the beginning on the processes and procedures that will be put in place to facilitate the accurate, timely, and IRS/CASE compliant processing of gifts. Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education & Experience:

*Bachelor's degree in any relevant field that develops critical thinking skills and at least six years of relevant experience, preferably in a higher education advancement environment.

*An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Education & Experience:

*Previous experience with Salesforce, Banner Advancement, and/or CRM conversions *Experience with monday.com or other project management platforms

Required Skills & Abilities:

*High level knowledge of fund accounting, financial controls, and information systems. *Knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures surrounding gift accounting. *Unquestionable integrity and the ability to exercise sound judgement in high-pressure and nuanced situations

*In-depth understanding of fundraising database systems and gift and record processing

*High level of detail orientation

*Customer-centric attitude * Collaborative management style

*Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and a high volume of work

*Excellent written and oral communication skills

This position is assigned as Hybrid.

Salary Range: $70,100 - $94,000

A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source.
