Job Title: Accounting Analyst

Location: Greencastle, IN - Onsite

Job Type: Full-Time, direct hire

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our client's team. This role is responsible for analyzing financial information, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles and a proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate cross-functionally with team members and departments across the organization.

Prepare and analyze journal entries and business transactions for general ledger accounts.

Reconcile and distribute expenditures, receipts, and receivables based on schedules.

Conduct statistical and trend analyses and write narrative reports on financial findings.

Prepare detailed financial documents and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and capital tracking.

Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers to validate and support financial transactions.

Monitor compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.

Investigate and correct financial discrepancies and errors in reports or entries.

Support the development and implementation of accounting systems and controls.

Recommend best practices related to reserves, assets, and expenditures.

Assist with ACH processing under approved protocols.

Prepare and analyze A/P, A/R, Tooling, Royalty, Payroll, Temporary Labor, and Capital Expenditure transactions.

Maintain and depreciate fixed assets, including disposals and adjustments.

Review AP invoices for Sales and Use Tax compliance; calculate and report tax amounts.

Provide timely solutions to emerging accounting issues and process improvements.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (preferred), or Associate Degree in Accounting with 2+ years of relevant experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong expertise in Excel.

Experience working with accounting systems (ERP experience a plus).
