 An R&D Calibration Technician, under limited supervision and/or detailed procedures/work instructions, safely performs a variety of mechanical and calibration tasks in support of R&D projects. Work involves installation, modification, preventive and corrective maintenance of R&D mechanical systems and measurement and test equipment (M&TE). Responsibilities
 
 Qualifications
 
 Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required 
     Must have a valid U.S. driver's license.Vocational/technical training beyond high schoolMinimum of five (5) years of job-related experience or equivalent including process M&TE calibration.Ability to understand Engineering drawings and documents that will allow for the safe and efficient installation of projects. Experienced using ProCal or similar calibration management software.Must be able to pass the NETL Swagelok certification test. (Company training will be provided.Computer / Software Skills - proficiently utilizing Microsoft Outlook email, Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, payroll time entry, and complete required online training.Good attendance, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as part of a team or independently.Ability to follow oral / written instructions, exercise good judgement to complete assignments on time.Work safely under limited supervision, exercise good judgement, and manage time to complete assignments. Good verbal and written communication Preferred Responsibilities/Requirements  
     High school diploma or GED/TASC/ HiSET with at least fifteen (10) years of job-related experience or a bachelor's degree with at least seven (7) years of job-related experience or equivalent.Calibration or Controls Technician Certification.Ability to read control system programming such as ladder logic, function block, structured text, sequential function block, and instruction list.Broad knowledge of other disciplines such as general math, geometry, electronics, etc.Benefits

 Work Environment 
     Most positions involve work in environments (e.g., projects, labs, outside locations, etc. where mechanical equipment is being installed, tested, analyzed, monitored, or operated and / or maintained. Equipment may be loud and noisy and or have exposed moving components.  Physical and Mental Demands 
     Such positions may involve routine lifting, up to 50 pounds. Able to perform all the typical repetitive physical requirements such as: walking, pushing, pulling, handling, grasping, kneeling, working overhead.Able to work in awkward positions for extended periods of time or in confined spaces.Constant use of vision and mental alertness is required. Integrated Safety Management 
     Observe and follow all corporate, federal, state and site environmental safety and health (ES&H) policies and procedures that pertain to the job classification being performed.Perform only those tasks in which you have the required training, competence, knowledge, skills, and abilities to prevent injury to one's-self, other employees, the public, or the environment. Hazard and situational awareness for ES&H risks associated with the work. Perform work safely in accordance with hazard controls. Report all unsafe operations, and, if necessary, exercise stop-work authority in cases of imminent danger. Must wear proper PPE as required and ensure PPE is in acceptable condition.Keep office space, operating area, control room, mechanical room, warehouse etc. clean and orderly.Attend all safety meetings and stay current with assigned required training.Maintain active involvement in the introduction, revision, and/or promotion of ES&H/ISM program activities.      This is typically an 8-hour per day, five days per week daylight schedule. Overtime on nights, weekends, and holidays may be required to meet client needs.Drug Free Workplace
