Location: Koch Industries - World Headquarters Campus - Wichita, KS

Pay: $22.00- $28.00/Hr.

What this job involves:
As a Landscaping Technician, you'll be responsible for supporting and maintaining the entire exterior grounds of the property. This dynamic role covers a wide range of landscaping activities including mowing, trimming, edging, pesticide applications, irrigation repair and maintenance, landscape installation, equipment upkeep, and snow removal. The position requires flexibility for on-call assignments related to after-hours emergencies and seasonal duties, ensuring the grounds maintain optimal appearance and safety year-round.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Maintain landscape and turf aesthetics through regular mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, pesticide application, and irrigation repair and maintenance
  • Identify pests and diseases in turf and plants, performing treatment solutions to maintain plant health
  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment in a safe and compliant manner
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, laws, and regulations
  • Action and complete work orders in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as per service level agreements
  • Participate in technical, safety, and operational training programs
  • Perform condition inspections on parking lots, roadways, sidewalks, storm drains, and landscaping equipment and tools
  • Execute snow removal tasks during snow or icy conditions
  • Complete other duties and tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficiency in operating landscaping equipment such as ZTR mowers, string trimmers, edgers, utility tractors, utility vehicles, and snow blowers
  • Basic hand tool knowledge and equipment maintenance experience
  • Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) and work as part of a team
  • Ability to comply with JLL and client-directed policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience in a commercial landscaping environment
  • Commercial pesticide applicator license
  • Experience with irrigation systems
  • Plant knowledge and identification skills

Work Environment:

  • Wear required PPE such as safety glasses/goggles, gloves, hearing protection, fall protection, hats, sunscreen, safety boots, hi-visibility vest, etc.
  • Ability to work overtime when required, including on-call assignments for emergencies and seasonal duties
  • Willingness to perform prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and stretching
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able and willing to work in all climate conditions
