SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

It is the responsibility of the Director of Technology and Implementation - Debt Capital Markets to take ownership of all tasks and challenges that they encounter in the operation of their assigned position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

This role is responsible for the strategic management and implementation of technology associated with the broker dealer. This includes technology relating to trade processing, account management, regulatory reporting, clearing and other operations within the broker dealer. This role is tasked with driving continuous process improvements to support scalable growth. The ideal candidate combines deep operational expertise, regulatory awareness, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Develop and implement technological solutions that support business growth and exceptional client service.

  • Partner with leadership to streamline workflows, scale services, and support strategic initiatives.

  • Support regulatory audits, examinations, and internal control reviews.

  • Work closely with Head of Operations and other business unit leaders to identify areas of workflow improvement and foster efficiency.

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the Bloomberg relationship and Bloomberg TOMS.

  • Manage and oversee CRM tools to ensure sales assignments are current and potential target customers are being added. Additionally, ensure that there is alignment between CRM and Bloomberg for trades, sales rep codes, and account allocations.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational success and report to executive leadership.

  • Deliver regular reports to leadership on operational efficiency, service levels, and key initiatives.

  • Analyze workflow trends and quality reporting and develop/implement recommendations for continuous improvement.

COMPETENCIES

  • Strong knowledge of FINRA/SEC rules, operational risk controls, and broker-dealer compliance requirements.

  • Experience with clearing platforms (e.g., Pershing, National Financial, RBC, etc.).

  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and influencing skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end process improvement and take intelligent risks to manage expenses and drive continuous improvement.

  • Strategic thinker with strong conceptual ability, with demonstrated ability to improve systems and processes and deliver results.

  • Strong analytical capabilities, with experience using data to drive recommendations and decision making (qualitative analyses, financial modelling, competitor/industry research, etc.).

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in broker-dealer operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Certifications/Specific Knowledge: FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses required (or will obtain within 90 days).

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

New team member orientation and annual compliance training

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and identify customers. Position requires a significant amount of computer time, either sitting or standing and may require bending and reaching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is located in a cubicle environment that may be loud throughout the day.

TRAVEL

Travel may be required to attend meetings.

Salary Ranges:

$113,320.00 - $181,018.00
