      | Job Description Summary | The Lorette Wilmot Library is seeking a proactive, dynamic librarian to join its administrative team and lead our research and instruction efforts. This 10-month tenure track position is responsible for providing library instruction to the Nazareth community as well as the promotion and assessment of library information services.
        
 The 
        Head of Instruction & Outreach leads the department in the provision of patron-centered services to the Nazareth community, both on campus and virtually. This position will lead the department planning for collaboration with campus partners, including teaching faculty, campus offices, and administration.

 Coordinate the information literacy instruction program and promote the integration of information literacy instruction across the curriculumCollaborate with academic partners to ensure relevance and effectiveness of research and instruction programsCoordinate the library's research services team to effectively meet the information needs of the Nazareth academic communityManage reference services at the library's shared Information Desk, including supervision and training of student workersDevelop innovative strategies for face-to-face and virtual library services and programs in support of learning, research, and scholarshipAssess the effectiveness and impact of library outreach, learning, and research support servicesUse assessment data to continuously improve research and instruction servicesDevelop departmental goals that support the library and University's strategic planPartner with other library departments to assure effectiveness of library services and user successCollaborate with external partners in the development and delivery of programs and servicesMonitor the library and higher education information environment to anticipate changes to library services, including developments in artificial intelligence and their impact on issues related to information-seeking, academic integrity and student learning

      | Required Education, Experience, Technology and Skills | 
        
 Master's of Library and Information Science from an accredited program or equivalent advanced degree3-5 years of experience in the provision of research and instruction services, including their assessmentStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective collaborations with students, faculty, library colleagues and administratorsAbility to meet Nazareth University's standards for tenure and promotion, including research, publication, and serviceAbility to project a positive and professional attitude
