The Inside Sales Representative is a key member of the inside sales team. The person in this role maintains strong relationships with customers and manufacturer's representatives by providing excellent customer service and sales support. They are responsible for accurately quoting products and supporting the sales process.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure the accurate, efficient and timely preparation of quotations in conjunction with Outside Sales Personnel and Application Engineering.
  1. Responsible for sales processes such as inquiry handling, quote creation and customer service tasks.
  2. Work within the CRM and ERP systems to maintain an accurate sales funnel.
  1. Communicate with customers to follow up on quotations and work with them through the sales process. Coordinate with Outside Sales Personnel to ensure customer needs are understood and being met or exceeded.
  2. Perform order follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and gain valuable feedback.
  3. Maintain knowledge of current and new products.
  4. Participate in and contribute to special project teams and initiatives.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  1. Education. Two- or four-year technical degree preferred; sales experience may substitute.
  1. Experience.
    1. Minimum 3+ years of experience in a technical inside sales environment.
    2. Preferred experience includes inside or outside sales responsibilities in a manufacturing environment with standard and engineered to order products.

    6. Excellent communication skills, written and oral, telephone and customer service.
    7. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP and CRM programs.
    8. Able to complete projects with minimum instructions and guidance.
    9. Proven initiative and self-direction.
    10. Strong negotiation skills and ability to develop effective working relationships.
    11. Flexibility and willingness to respond to customers (internal/external) expediently; problem solver.
    12. Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to establish priorities, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
