CTC is looking for a Military Personal Finance Policy Advisor to support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (OASD M&RA), with a focus on Military Community & Family Policy (MC&FP) program oversight and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (OASD M&RA), focusing on support for Military Community & Family Policy (MC&FP) Program Oversight and Analysis.
  • Provide expertise in personal financial program management, multimedia marketing, communications research, event planning, task management/leadership, and writing/editing to help Service Members and their families manage personal finances.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or a combination of associate's degrees and skills-based licenses and/or certifications.
  • Minimum twelve (12) years of experience in providing financial advice to US military clients
  • A strong understanding of DoD personal finance, financial literacy, and military community needs, and be familiar with the DoD's pay and compensation and financial readiness programs and initiatives, such as the legacy retirement system, blended retirement system, thrift savings plan, flexible spending accounts and financial readiness common military training.
  • Have hands on experience with or knowledge of the military lifecycle and the financial challenges that Service members and their families encounter at different stages of their careers.

  • Relevant advanced degree
  • Published content in recognized professional media
  • Leadership position in professional society
