About the Job.
The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for tracking material RFIs, managing submittals, coordinating deliveries and assisting with material buyout/procurement. This role will work directly with the Field Material Coordinator to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries for each trade's scope.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities Material Buyout/Procurement
Review and Validate materials bids against the plans, specifications and material take-offs. Obtain, evaluate and negotiate material pricing with vendors. Issue purchase orders and track order status through delivery.
Coordinating Deliveries
Ensure timely procurement to avoid project delays. Verify material compliance to the purchase order. Work directly with Field Material Coordinator (FMC) for on-time deliveries, lead times and delivery dates. Assist in resolving delivery issues or discrepancies.
Managing RFI's and Submittals
Track and manage materials Requests for Information (RFIs) from Vendors. Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and subcontractors to gather required information for submittals. Submit RFIs to JPI Construction and ensure timely responses. Review submittals for completeness and compliance with project specifications and PO's. Distribute approved submittals to relevant stakeholders. Monitor deadlines to ensure timely submission and approval of all documents.

Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering or Construction related field. 2-4 years experience in a business, construction or professional setting. Previous experience in a construction environment or similar position is highly desirable. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Proficiency in using business software and tools, including MS Office and project management applications.
