Business Data Analyst

Position Summary:

The Business and Data Analyst will lead the company-wide initiative to centralize and modernize data reporting and dashboarding. This position is responsible for converting legacy Crystal Reports into modern, interactive dashboards using tools such as Power BI, IFS report writer, and Mendix. The analyst will drive the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments, especially within operations and manufacturing. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of reporting platforms, and the ability to collaborate with business units to extract, transform, and present data in meaningful ways. Additionally, this role will lead the creation and ongoing management of a company-wide Obeya room to visually display KPIs and key operational metrics. A strong background in manufacturing and Lean principles is required.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, conversion, and migration of Crystal Reports to modern reporting tools such as Power BI, IFS report writer, or Mendix.
• Own the development and maintenance of dashboards that support daily, weekly, and monthly operations reviews, including Gemba reports.
• Drive the planning, design, and ownership of the Kamatics Obeya room to visualize key KPIs and align business objectives across departments.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define, refine, and guide KPI selection across departments, focusing on manufacturing and operational performance.
• Work closely with the ERP team to extract, clean, and structure data for analysis and reporting.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of Mendix-based applications and dashboards for all departments.
• Establish standard practices and governance for business reporting and data visualization across the company.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and data-driven methods.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy in all reports and dashboards.
• Perform other duties as assigned and support related IT/business systems projects.

Qualifications:

• Education:

• Bachelor's degree in data science, business analytics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in business or data analysis roles
• Hands-on experience with Crystal Reports and modern dashboarding tools like Power BI, Mendix, or similar
• Experience working with ERP data (IFS preferred)
• Familiarity with Lean principles and manufacturing operations is required
• Lean Certification a plus
