Velosity is searching for a Chief Financial Officer to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, overseeing all financial functions, IT systems, and financial reporting to lenders and the ownership group. This role is critical in providing strategic financial leadership and value creation while driving financial performance, supporting M&A activity, and ensuring compliance in a highly regulated environment. The incumbent will serve as a strategic advisor on existing and potential new business issues, ranging from operations enhancements to business development opportunities and M&A activities. Successful incumbent will be an experienced practitioner, able to spearhead the development of strong financial processes and systems to strengthen and bring greater efficiency to the Company's operations while providing a scalable platform for growth. The role reports to the CEO and will be expected to build a close working relationship with other members of the senior management team, Board members, and the Company's lenders. Reporting directly to the CFO are the Company's Controller along with other finance and accounting staff and the Director of IT. The average pay range for this role: $275,000 - $350,000. This pay range reflects the typical base annual salary based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation offered will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions.

Essential Duties: Strategic Financial Leadership and Value Creation
- Develop and execute financial input and strategies to support decisions impacting corporate goals.
- Advise the CEO and Board on financial planning, forecasting, and capital allocation.
- Support the evaluation of M&A targets, managing due diligence and financial modeling activities and seamlessly integrate acquisitions from a financial reporting and operational standpoint.
Financial Operations
- Oversee budgeting, accounting, treasury, financial, and tax reporting functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control initiatives and recommend improvements as necessary.
- Evaluate capital investments based on key financial, operational, and strategic attributes and support decisions with financial analysis.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the Board, lenders, and private equity sponsors, effectively interfacing with all parties on an ongoing basis.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Oversee IT strategy and systems to support scalable, secure operations with a focus on prioritizing strategic digital initiatives such as ERP and CRM optimization, data-driven decision making, and cybersecurity.
- Leverage emerging technologies, automation, and analytics to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations and healthcare industry standards.
- Support internal audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Assess the internal control environment and implement changes where necessary to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Understand and review details of documents such as credit agreements, material purchase transaction documents, customer contracts and legal contracts, etc. that may have financial implications for the business.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner and collaborate with operations, engineering, supply chain, sales, and quality teams to align financial goals with production and delivery targets.
- Work with other senior management members to identify profitability improvement initiatives and bolster Key Performance Indicators ("KPIs") to improve operational efficiency, quality, and profitability.
- Support pricing strategies and cost modeling for medical device components and defense components, as well as supporting the negotiation and maintenance of customer and supplier contracts.
Team Leadership
- Build and mentor a high-performance finance and accounting team.
- Provide leadership to IT to support world-class IT systems and processes.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
- 15+ years of senior financial leadership, ideally with deep manufacturing expertise including a strong, practical understanding of manufacturing operations, particularly in contract manufacturing medical devices and defense components with experience in injection molding operations preferred.
- Experience in private equity backed environments and M&A execution is essential. Must be able to communicate and report to private equity sponsor, manage capital structures, and drive value creation aligning with corporate goals.
- Fluency working in a leveraged environment within a credit agreement is highly preferred, with an understanding of financial covenants, proactive forecasting and reporting, and managing bank relationships.
- A successful transaction track record of successfully completing at least one company transaction (e.g., sale, acquisition, recapitalization) within the last five years.
- Minimum 10 years in a leadership role, including direct reports at the Director level.
- Proficiency with lean initiatives, cost accounting, supply chain finance, ERP system familiarity, and regulatory compliance in highly controlled sectors.
- Familiarity with FDA, ISO, ITAR, and other regulatory frameworks relevant to medical device and defense manufacturing.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, financial modeling, and driving strategic growth and operational efficiency.
- Ability to energize teams, drive transformation, and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated strengths in relationship management, empathy, and conflict resolution. Strong emotional intelligence with the capacity to influence, coach, and develop others is paramount, as is the ability to foster a positive and productive culture.
- Strong understanding of ERP and CRM systems and financial analytics tools and IT infrastructure oversight.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a collaborative leadership style to facilitate collaboration among diverse teams, including operations, sales & IT.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor and guide a team of Finance, Accounting, and IT professionals, maintaining a great working environment with experience in talent development and employee engagement.
- Proven ability as a self-starter and fast learner
- Local travel will be required between Velosity sites; Approximately 10% domestic or international travel may be required for customer visits, business meetings, trade shows, or industry related meetings/ events.

- Walking is required within the office/shop areas. Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb stairs. Must have dexterity with hands.
