 Summary:
 
 The Blend Operator is responsible for preparing raw materials and ingredients for the cooking production process, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and documentation standards. This role also assists in the cooking process as needed while maintaining food safety and sanitation requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Comply with GMP standards as set forth by company, and actively contribute to maintaining food safety, product legality and quality. Stay alert for any potential risks or signs of product safety concerns and promptly report them to your immediate supervisor.Operate a cheese grinder to convert block cheese into a ground formOpen and handle various size packages of cheese and other ingredientsAccurately measure ingredients using Scale Fusion system and other relevant devicesRead and ensure proper batch record documentationScan ingredient barcodes to ensure accurate batch recordsLabel batched ingredients with correct informationEnter information in SAP software programAssist in cooking process as neededUse manual or electric pallet jack to move pallets of ingredients and raw materialsPerform basic math calculations for batching processesComplete housekeeping checks and paperwork dailyMaintain complete shift pass-down communication and information with co-workersMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all timesSafely uses knives and other cutting tools to open or access ingredients and raw materialsAssist in other areas of production as directed by leadership, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.Dispose of trash and cardboard as neededDisassemble machinery and equipment as neededClean and sanitize machines, equipment, and tooling by following SSOP's (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures). Hand wash as neededUse steam hoses and various chemicals in accordance with SSOP'sReassemble machinery and equipment for production usePerform COP (Clean Out of Place) processes and procedures on equipment and tooling following SSOP's (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures)Assist in CIP (Clean In Place) processes and procedures as needed following SSOP's (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures)Perform all other duties as assigned
 
 Education and/or Experience 
 
 
 High School Diploma or equivalent preferredExperience working in a food manufacturing environment preferred

 Ability to read, comprehend, and accurately follow documents such as ingredient information and batch recordsStrong attention to detailBasic proficiency in math for measuring and recording ingredientsAbility to use basic computer software systems (E21) to input and retrieve dataAbility to apply practical problem-solving skills and follow detailed instructions in both written and verbal formatsAbility to use sound judgement to handle routine issues within a standardized environmentProactively identify safety and GMP opportunitiesMust be able to lift up to 55 pounds on a semi-frequent basis
