Under moderate supervision, responsible for complex accounting activities supporting the accurate and timely closing of the general ledger, which may include, but are not limited to: preparation and posting of journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset processing, lease/contract review, accrual entries, budget variance reviews, research and analysis of assigned large elements of revenue and expense and the related internal reporting. Ensure general ledger account balances are materially correct in compliance With internal controls and GAAP and that internal control risks are tested and documented in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley. Lead accounting initiatives/ projects including: process improvement, regulatory compliance/changes and policy. Mentors less senior staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or other related quantitative discipline is required. Four (4) years experience in accounting for financial reporting in a public accounting firm or in a large for-profit corporate environment. A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements. Excellent analytical and financial analysis skills required. Strong knowledge of GAAP standards required. Outstanding knowledge of business software, spreadsheet applications and/or mainframe or web based applications. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or other related quantitative discipline is required. Related experience may offset degree requirements and related education/degree may offset experience requirements.

Minimum Experience

Four (4) years experience in accounting for financial reporting in a public accounting firm or in a large for-profit corporate environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent analytical and financial analysis skills required.

Strong knowledge of GAAP standards required.

Outstanding knowledge of business software, spreadsheet applications and/or mainframe or web-based applications.

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills.

Pay: $5,662.27 USD per month - $7,502.51 USD per month

Additional Details: The desired location for this position would be Collierville, TN. This position may be eligible for relocation.
