2nd shift Monday-Thursday 4:00 pm to 2:30 am

JOB SUMMARY:

Operate automated seal mold, Cut, Splice and glue seals safely and efficiently to produce a quality product that meets specifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up, load and operate equipment to make seal material. Cut, Splice and glue seals
  • Maintain and clean machines before and after shift
  • Ensure raw materials are ready and available
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures
  • Use gauges to qualify product conformance.
  • Perform random test to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain quality log
  • Fill out quality traveler.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and make machine adjustments as required to maintain quality standards and process conditions.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Experience operating equipment
  • Knowledge of Rotor manufacturing techniques and processes
  • Ability to obtain forklift (license)
  • Ability to learn how to properly handle overhead cranes safely
  • Experience with operating handheld tools
  • Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
  • Ability to read simple engineering drawings

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain Quality Standards
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner; support all safety and environmental rules and environmental initiatives.
  • Participate in Lean initiatives to provide ongoing continuous improvement ideas for products, process, and procedures
  • Assist and train other employees when necessary

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Experience or exposure to lean concepts
  • Must be willing to work long hours, overtime and weekend as required
  • Effective team player
