Genesis10 is seeking a Buyer III. This is a 6+ month, contract position with a manufacturing client in Oak Brook, IL. This role will work on a heavy hybrid schedule, with only 1-4 days per month in the office. Compensation: $35.00 - 42.00 per hour, depending on skill and experience level. Responsibilities: Analysis (data science, data analytics), resourcing actions, supplier negotiations, surcharge management, reporting, payment resolutions, WMF (waste minimization fund) mitigations, market test and tech review Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs Collaborate with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components and/or operations and develop supply recommendations Ensure suppliers can meet forecasted demand Coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing/engineering costs and establish cost for new products Participate in design and/or technical reviews and select, recommend and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service. Requirements: SAP and excel (think pivots/vlookups/macros etc.) Background in procurement, supply chain, purchasing mandatory (at a global level highly preferred) Individuals will manage all tasks/work up to contract signature Ability to process/work with large quantities of money Preference is 8+ years of experience but open to lower-level skills as well Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications, have logistical knowledge, be able to perform a tech review/quality of product, understand how to navigate for information Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
