Responsibilities

LMI is seeking a Federal Civilian Growth Account Manager to drive strategic growth within key civilian agencies, including NASA, GSA, IRS, and USDA. This role is ideal for a business development leader with deep existing relationships and an insider's perspective on the technology, priorities, and procurement processes unique to these agencies. The selected candidate will report to the Vice President of Growth for the Health and Civilian Market (HCM) and serve as a trusted advisor and growth strategist across the enterprise.

    Leverage existing federal relationships to identify, shape, and qualify new business opportunities aligned with LMI's core service offerings and agency mission needs.
  • Develop strategic account plans that reflect an intimate knowledge of agency missions, organizational structure, procurement preferences, and technology environments.
  • Translate agency modernization initiatives into actionable growth strategies by understanding emerging technology ecosystems, mission-critical systems, and vendor landscapes.
  • Drive early engagement and relationship-building with federal stakeholders to position LMI for success well in advance of RFP release.
  • Coordinate closely across internal teams-including Service Lines, Communications, the CTO office, and Enterprise Services-to align solutions with agency needs and secure internal buy-in for growth initiatives.f
  • Lead the development and execution of tailored call plans and opportunity shaping activities.
  • Partner with capture and proposal teams to ensure continuity across the full business development lifecycle, from identification through submission.
  • Represent LMI at industry and agency events to enhance visibility and reinforce credibility within civilian markets.


Qualifications

  • Proven track record of winning work in the federal civilian space, particularly with agencies such as NASA, GSA, IRS, and USDA.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, capture, or federal sales, with significant time focused on civilian agencies. Candidates with fewer years of experience may be considered with a strong record of results and relationships.
  • Deep understanding of agency-specific missions, organizational structures, and buying patterns.
  • Familiarity with key technology domains such as IT modernization, data analytics, digital services, enterprise transformation, supply chain modernization, and agile acquisition.
  • Knowledge of commonly used technology platforms, integrators, and ecosystem partners across federal civilian agencies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a matrixed environment.
  • Active relationships with key agency decision-makers, influencers, and program stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel as needed within the National Capital Region.

Desired Qualifications

  • Existing pipeline of qualified opportunities preferred.
  • Specialized training in business development, capture management, or federal sales strategy.
  • Prior experience operating in a matrixed, collaborative consulting environment.
