Position Description

A Maintenance Supervisor isresponsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of a facility's equipment, machinery, and systems, ensuring they are safe, dependable, and efficient.This role involves managing a team of maintenance technicians, scheduling and delegating tasks, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily maintenance activity of Buena Vista and 10th street facilities, including WWTS.
  • Supervise all ongoing P.M. programs to keep the machines in safe working condition.
  • Directing and leading maintenance staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs, scheduling repairs and maintenance tasks, and ensuring timely completion of work orders.
  • Conducting regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure proper functionality.
  • Maintaining inventory of spare parts and supplies, ordering new materials as needed.
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
  • Communicating with management, staff, and external vendors, providing updates on maintenance activities and issues.
  • Contributing to the development of the maintenance budget and tracking expenditures.
  • Analyzing maintenance issues and developing solutions to ensure efficient operations.
  • Function as liaison / contact to coordinate work performed by various contractors.
Required Education & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in maintenance or a technical field required.
  • 3-5+ years experience in supervision.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment maintenance, and repair procedures.
  • Leadership and Management: Ability to motivate and lead a team, delegate tasks effectively, and resolve conflicts.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with staff and management.
  • Critical Thinking Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to plan, schedule, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of Safety Regulations: Understanding of OSHA and other relevant safety standards.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other relevant computer applications.
