Responsibilities: The Senior Manager Category Insights - Walmart leads the DMFC Walmart Category Advisor team and is ultimately responsible for all advisory deliverables for Del Monte. The Senior Manager is responsible for leading the team's output, including support of all relays and category analytics. This leader is responsible for training and developing team members and fostering and ensuring exceptional customer relationships. This leader owns relationships with the buyers we support and ensures our customer advisors excel in the role of trusted advisor by demonstrating a commitment to category analysis and thought leadership. The Senior Manager leads the team in its development of creative shelving that results in increased sales growth, in stock inventory, and solutions that enable an exceptional shopper experience. The Senior Manager participates in the Del Monte Walmart Leadership Team, offering functional expertise and counsel to the development of strategies and tactics to grow DMFC volume, profit and share at Walmart.The Senior Manager Category Insights - Walmart is responsible for planning proper resource allocation of team to meet the demands of the customer relay programs and planogram development.
- Responsible for driving category growth at Walmart in the categories for which DMFC has category advisory status.
- Achieve internal business volume, profit and share targets for DMFC at Walmart.
- Participates as a functional expert on the DMFC Walmart Leadership Team.
- Where possible, actively engages in educating others (up, down, and across the organization) by sharing best practices and insights so that our successes are broadly repeated.
- Establish and nurture influential and consultative relationship with the customer; consultatively provides category and shopper expertise by maintaining up-to-date fluency with category, shopper, and retail trends and best practices.
- Lead and manage diverse complex projects including improving capabilities and efficiency of workstreams, provide insightful perspective and thought leadership to key customer stakeholders, work with solution and data providers to improve capabilities and execution of deliverables.
- Lead and coach the advisor team in the design and implementation of creative shelving and assortment strategies utilizing category management principles, retailer data, syndicated data and clustering strategies that result in customer category growth.
- Proactively identify insights from a variety of data sources and translate them into business cases to grow the category at the customer.
- Advise internal stakeholders on category strategies and tactics that can positively affect Del Monte's business with the customer and in total.
- Collaborate with solution and data providers to seek the most efficient and insightful tools and processes, enabling greater efficiency and accuracy in our deliverables to the customer.
- Manages, coaches, and develops direct reports, challenging them to produce exceptional project delivery, process improvement, and the establishment of best practices; grow and develop associates for career advancement opportunities and job satisfaction.

Years of Experience
- 5-10 years relevant business experience in CPG industry with supplier, retailer or broker.
- Prior Category Management experience a must.
Skills
- Proven record of success in retail grocery industry with supplier, retailer or broker.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with strong team-orientation.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced capabilities in Retail Link, JDA Space Planning, Microsoft Excel, Nuqleous, and syndicated data sources (Nielsen or IRI).
- Excellent analytic, interpretive, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage major customer projects and delegate secondary tasks.
