What You'll Do - Results:
- Analyze capacity constraints and manpower needs with precision and foresight
- Champion team-based improvements to inventory control and scheduling processes
- Define and execute short- and long-term strategies for Production Control and Shipping & Receiving
- Align inventory management practices with company policies to ensure accuracy and readiness
- Maintain and manage the MRP system to support smooth operations
- Act as the key liaison between the Materials team and internal stakeholders
- Monitor inventory to support production and service parts, while reducing excess and obsolete stock
- Lead cross-functional meetings to align material planning with production goals
- Ensure timely, accurate reporting on materials, inventory, and schedules
What You Bring - Competencies:
- Balances day-to-day execution with long-term planning to align material control with organizational goals
- Proactively identifies operational inefficiencies and drives initiatives to resolve them
- Effectively communicates complex concepts and influences stakeholders across departments to drive alignment
- Uses data and analytics to forecast demand, detect issues, and optimize material control processes
- Focuses on delivering measurable improvements in cost, efficiency, and service performance
Key Experience and Skills:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in scheduling, inventory, warehousing, customer service, or purchasing
- Supervisory experience or a proven track record of leadership
- Demonstrated success in driving transformation and process improvement
- Strong working knowledge of MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor)
- APICS/CPIM Certification strongly preferred
- Initial schedule will beMonday-Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
- Will transition to24/7 operations later this year; flexibility required.
- Travel is required (up to 50%) for the first several months/throughout 2025-2026.Travel will be for onboarding, training, ongoing operational excellence and other purposes. Travel will, for the most part, take place Monday - Friday, but some weekend travel may be required.
