Advanced Systems Engineer (Mechanical Hardware Underseas)
$60.00-$70.00 per hour (DOE)
Due to the nature of the work our client does, US Citizenship is required
  • Systems Engineer - Maritime & Strategic Systems

    Join our cross-functional team driving innovation in Seaborne Platform Systems emerging undersea business area. You'll help shape next-generation maritime solutions through concept development, White Papers, Trade Studies, rapid prototyping, and hands-on testing.

    What You'll Do:

    • Develop concepts from idea to test-ready solutions.

    • Decompose requirements, plan tests, and execute hands-on validation.

    • Design and integrate undersea hardware, including cables, handling equipment, and mechanical systems.

    • Collaborate with teams of all sizes-from small study groups to 100+ person programs.

  • What We're Looking For:

    • Systems engineering background (mechanical focus preferred); undersea experience is a plus.

    • Experience in requirements management, test planning, and rapid prototyping.

    • Creative problem-solver who thrives in collaborative environments.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree.
  • Agile experience.
  • Experience in the concept development phase to include White Papers, Trade Studies, and Rapid Prototyping/Test.
  • Experience in high-level requirements decomposition through test strategy, planning, fixtures, hands-on test execution, and reporting.
  • Experience with undersea hardware to include cables, cable handling equipment, and other mechanical hardware and equipment.
  • Proficiency in requirements management and test planning.
  • Creative thinker motivated to develop new concepts and solutions.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to provide and receive technical direction.
