We are inventing new applications and platforms to unlock the GenAI-powered Content Supply Chain. As the Director, Forward Deployed AI Architecture, you will lead and scale a best-in-class, Forward Deployed AI Architecture team, recruiting exceptional talent, defining architectural standards, and forging tight alignment with Product and Engineering. You will be instrumental in leading your team in translating innovative AI research into real-world use cases to unlock the capabilities of both first-party and third-party models, Adobe Firefly, GenStudio for Performance Marketing, and future products. This role requires deep technical and architectural expertise, the ability to lead enterprise clients and translate pioneering AI research into real-world impact. - Build & Develop a High-Performing Architect Team: Recruit, onboard, and mentor Forward-Deployed Architects (FDAs) with diverse technical backgrounds, including software engineering, machine learning, and systems architecture.
- Set Technical Vision & Standards: Define modular patterns, reusable frameworks, and architecture playbooks that drive consistency, scalability, and speed across all engagements.
- Define the Creative & Product CI/CD Vision: Chart the vision of a fully automated CI/CD pipeline for creative automation for our customers as well as a continuous product feedback loop.
- Champion Executive Engagement: Serve as executive sponsor on strategic accounts, ensuring our solutions solve the right problems and deliver measurable business value.
- Oversee Solution Delivery: Guide FDAs in designing, prototyping, and deploying enterprise-grade GenAI applications-balancing innovation with reusable assets and scalable patterns.
- Collaboration with Core Teams: Partner with Adobe Product, Engineering, and Research to define the overall framework and governance of how the Forward Deployed organization will influence roadmaps, co-develop integrations, and deploy new features.
- Measure & Optimize Impact: Track team KPIs-time-to-value, technical reusability, and customer success metrics-and iterate on processes for continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- Seasoned Leader: 12+ years in solution architecture or technical consulting, including 5+ years managing and scaling high-performance teams in enterprise AI.
- GenAI Mastery: Deep technical knowledge and extensive hands-on experience with modern AI technologies, including: Large Language Models (LLMs) - OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, Meta Llama, Mistral, etc. || Diffusion models (Adobe Firefly, Stable Diffusion, DALL*E, Midjourney) || Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS), and semantic search || Fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and model optimization || AI agent frameworks (AutoGen, LangChain, LlamaIndex) || Multimodal AI (text, image, video, audio processing)
- Cloud & DevOps Mastery: Deep technical knowledge and extensive hands-on experience with core services (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation) and AI/ML tools (SageMaker, Bedrock) || Azure: Experience with compute (VMs, Functions), storage (Blob), and AI services (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services) || Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless deployments || CI/CD & IaC: GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or equivalent || Monitoring & Logging: CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, or similar
- Architectural Mastery: Proven track record designing and delivering large-scale, enterprise-grade AI solutions-especially in content supply chain or marketing automation.
- Adobe Platform Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Firefly, GenStudio for Performance Marketing, Custom Models, Object Composite, 3D, and third-party AI models.
- Executive Presence: Exceptional communicator who simplifies complex AI concepts for C-suite customers and influences strategic decisions.
- Talent Builder: Skilled in recruiting diverse, AI-native architects; passionate about mentorship, career growth, and fostering cross-team collaboration.
- Product Partnership: Experience driving feedback loops, shaping product strategy and translating customer insights into roadmap enhancements.

- Academic Credentials: Bachelors in CS, Engineering, AI, or related field; Advanced degree a strong plus.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $179,300 -- $354,600 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
