| What to Expect As a Structural Test Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in the testing and validation of structural components and systems for commercial vehicle platforms. You will work closely with our Engineering team to execute tests to validate the structural integrity of our products, and to identify areas for improvement. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong understanding of structural mechanics, testing principles, and data analysis. You will work in a fast-paced environment and will be expected to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. What You'll Do
 
  Conduct structural tests, including static and dynamic testing, to validate product performanceConduct non-destructive testing inspections using primarily dye penetrant testing to detect and evaluate cracks and other defects in materials and componentsAnalyze test data to identify trends and areas for improvementOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot test equipment, including data acquisition systems, sensors, and hydraulic systemsFollow test procedures and protocols to ensure consistency and accuracyAssist in the setup and execution of tests, including preparing test fixtures and specimensCollect and record test data, and perform basic data analysisCollaborate with engineers to interpret test results and identify areas for improvementDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including test reports and proceduresParticipate in test planning and scheduling to ensure efficient use of resourcesWhat You'll Bring
 
  2+ years of experience in structural testing, mechanical testing, or a related fieldStrong understanding of structural mechanics, materials science, and testing principlesExperience with hydraulic systemsProficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasksExperience with test equipment and instrumentation, such as load cells, LVDT, potentiometers, and accelerometersFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ASTM and ASMEAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a laboratory or test environmentCompensation and Benefits
