The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Supervises and coordinates centralized Access personnel to ensure accurate and timely clearance of scheduled/unscheduled patients. Responsible for maintaining an adequate productivity level, ensuring all processes and functions involved in the scheduling, pre-registration of patients (collection of patient information) and financial clearance activities are performed accurately, completely and timely to limit financial risk. Performs payroll updates in Kronos. Performs timely employee reviews and disciplines. Participates in evening and Saturday leadership rotation coverage to ensure successful completion of department operations and resolve unexpected issues.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Business experience or equivalent.
  • Must have good leadership qualities with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Patient Accounting or Patient Access.
  • Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.

Preferred:

  • Prior Supervisory experience preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full-Time, Day - 40 hours a week
  • Remote with travel to Oceanport, NJ as needed

  • Maintains positive relationships with all customers, employee, physician, patient, visitor, and guests
  • Utilizes a variety of feedback to improve processes and services to meet and exceed customer needs

  • interviewing, recognition, fair and timely discipline, and ongoing performance feedback
  • Interacts constructively, tactfully and diplomatically with others and resolves conflicts effectively.
  • Demonstrates cultural competency and ability to maintain a diverse workforce
  • Completes tasks and assignments in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. Remains positive and focused despite obstacles and setbacks.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency in completing assignments.
  • Organizes multiple assignments and/or projects simultaneously to accomplish goals.
  • Coaches and aids Financial Clearance Representatives.
  • Coordinates initial and ongoing training for new and current staff.
  • Assists with creating training material for new employees, ongoing training material for current workflow procedures and ensures that staff maintains their competencies.
  • Regularly performs standing meetings and daily staff rounding to ensure adequate communication between management and staff.
  • Assists in the annual performance evaluation process of all pre-access services staff
  • Coordination of activities between departments, financial clearance center and financial counseling. Serves as the point person for staff with complex cases.
  • Oversees the daily processing workload and prioritizes patient accounts to complete work in a timely, efficient manner to prevent service delays and payment issues. Monitors accounts to ensures that follow up actions are appropriately executed.
