Shipping Clerk

We are seeking a Heavy Weight Shipping Clerk to manage all aspects of outgoing shipments for our laser machines and automation units. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire shipping process, from packing and staging to paperwork and loading.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

• Package laser machines according to work instructions, including building wooden crates and pallets from purchased lumber.
• Load machines and automation units onto flatbed trailers.
• Operate forklifts and a 20-ton overhead crane.
• Process pick lists using SAP.
• Maintain and improve shipping processes, both technical and organizational.
• Troubleshoot shipping problems with customer service representatives.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Help in other areas as needed, such as machine tear down and assembly.

Hours:

• 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Required Experience & Skills

• Experience using tools: saws, drills, hammers and screwdrivers.
• Skilled with computers and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers and box trucks.
• Forklift experience (license required).
• Crane experience (preferred).
• Computerized shipping experience (preferred).
• Organization
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly without assistance.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
