Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead a cross-functional team focused on composite design, analysis, and automation programming
• Drive innovation and execution across Hand Layup, NCF, AFP, ATL, RTM, and Automated Stringer Forming processes
• Oversee pre-cure programming strategies including Pattern Cutting and Laser Projection
• Manage integration of CAD and FEA tools (CATIA CPD, 3DX, FEMAP, ANSYS, NASTRAN) into engineering workflows
• Ensure engineering outputs meet technical, schedule, and cost targets across multiple programs
• Guide proposal support efforts with accurate technical inputs and team coordination
• Advocate for team development, recognition, and alignment with broader company goals
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Application Development, and Research and Technology groups to refine processes and explore emerging technologies
• Create and implement standardized engineering processes to ensure consistency and scalability across multiple domestic and international sites

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in composite design, analysis, or manufacturing, with leadership responsibilities
• Proven proficiency with AFP, ATL, RTM, and related composite forming and cure technologies
• Advanced capability in CATIA Composites Part Design (CPD), FEMAP, and ANSYS
• Strong understanding of design-for-manufacture principles and pre-cure automation tools
• Excellent project management skills, with ability to coordinate across departments and vendors
• Clear and effective communicator with a track record of building high-performing teams
• Hands-on experience with the startup, qualification, and commissioning of Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) and/or Automated Tape Laying (ATL) equipment

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with proposal preparation and customer engagement
• Familiarity with bindered dry fiber composites and hybrid ATL/AFP systems
