Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead a cross-functional team focused on composite design, analysis, and automation programming
- Drive innovation and execution across Hand Layup, NCF, AFP, ATL, RTM, and Automated Stringer Forming processes
- Oversee pre-cure programming strategies including Pattern Cutting and Laser Projection
- Manage integration of CAD and FEA tools (CATIA CPD, 3DX, FEMAP, ANSYS, NASTRAN) into engineering workflows
- Ensure engineering outputs meet technical, schedule, and cost targets across multiple programs
- Guide proposal support efforts with accurate technical inputs and team coordination
- Advocate for team development, recognition, and alignment with broader company goals
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Application Development, and Research and Technology groups to refine processes and explore emerging technologies
- Create and implement standardized engineering processes to ensure consistency and scalability across multiple domestic and international sites

Experience/Education/Skills
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in composite design, analysis, or manufacturing, with leadership responsibilities
- Proven proficiency with AFP, ATL, RTM, and related composite forming and cure technologies
- Advanced capability in CATIA Composites Part Design (CPD), FEMAP, and ANSYS
- Strong understanding of design-for-manufacture principles and pre-cure automation tools
- Excellent project management skills, with ability to coordinate across departments and vendors
- Clear and effective communicator with a track record of building high-performing teams
- Hands-on experience with the startup, qualification, and commissioning of Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) and/or Automated Tape Laying (ATL) equipment
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with proposal preparation and customer engagement
- Familiarity with bindered dry fiber composites and hybrid ATL/AFP systems
- Passion for mentoring and professional development within a technical team
- Knowledge of composite materials
