Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties:University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College (UA-PTC) in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is accepting applications for a Food Service Specialist in the Southpaw Cafe, located at the Little Rock South Site location. The Food Service Specialist is responsible for maintaining campus dining services under the direct supervision of the Sous Chef- LR South.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: *Available Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm with flexibility to work occasional night and weekend shifts to accommodate special events. *Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety. *Greet and assist customers, take orders and manage the cash register, handling cash and credit card transactions accurately, ensuring the cash drawer is balanced at the end of the day. *Follow open and closing procedures for SouthPaw service set-up and equipment. *Maintain a clean and orderly front of house, including food service stations, trash and work stations. *Stock and maintain service levels of beverages, cups, condiments and utensils. *Stock and maintain salad bar, grab and go, pizza station and other food stations. *Checks stock levels for ingredients and paper goods and assist with inventory maintenance. *Ensures all food served is of high quality, properly prepared according to recipe and is expedited to all outlets in a smooth and efficient manner. *Maintains a positive attitude in the execution of duties and displays a high level of commitment to the team and to the job. *Performs other duties as assigned to include all areas of the restaurants, catering rooms, loading dock area, exterior of restaurant, etc. *Must possess professional verbal and written communication skills, be organized and detail oriented, be flexible and adapt to change *Promote the mission of University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College. *Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
