What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Global Trade Professional to join its Trade Team. The Trade Team supports all Import/Export Operations globally and is responsible for Tesla's Trade Compliance policies, programs, applications, and tools, including Duty Drawback, Free Trade Agreement qualification, and Trade Audit. We are looking for a contributor who can use "First Principle Thinking" to drive operational efficiencies. This person will also be a key driver for Trade process and system enhancements. The position will have a direct impact on Tesla's continued production and sales growth around the world.


What You'll Do
  • Engage with various activities involved in Trade Master Data solicitation and Trade Audit
  • Manage and personally support day to day Import and Export operations for the Americas
  • Interact with Tesla procurement professionals on cross-border cost implications
  • Drive improvements and efficiencies of established Trade processes
  • Continually review systems and capabilities to support new and evolving business models
  • Act as a resource for researching and providing guidance to Trade questions internally
  • Support Tesla's mission to Accelerate the World's Transition to Sustainable Energy through your performance and daily execution

What You'll Bring
  • Extensive experience managing and/or implementing an HS Classification program
  • Familiarity with Free Trade Agreements, Partner Government Agencies, and Duty Drawback
  • Deep knowledge of Trade Audit programs
  • Exceptional analytical skills regarding data manipulation
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL
  • Experience systems implementation and enhancements
  • Capable of creating written reports, proposals, processes, and project documentation

    Expected Compensation
    • Associate Global Trade Compliance Analyst - $57,800 - $86,700/annual salary
    • Global Trade Compliance Analyst - $71,400 - $107,100/annual salary
    • Sr Global Trade Compliance Analyst - $85,000 - $127,500/annual salary
    + cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
