Overview

The Director of Client Delivery and Development at TRC Companies IP&A is responsible for overseeing client engagements, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and driving business growth through strategic development initiatives. The Director will provide advice on regulatory issues and maintain a high-level knowledge of the utility industry and policy trends affecting the industry. This role will report to the Managing Director Strategy and Consulting Services. This role requires a deep understanding of client delivery, consulting services, project execution, and client relationship management.


Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Strategic Growth & Business Development: Identify opportunities for expansion, develop new service offerings, and drive revenue growth.
  • External Speaking and Representation: Represent TRC Companies IP&A at industry forums and events.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee project execution, ensuring efficiency, quality, and alignment with client expectations.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Mentor and lead teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Financial & Performance Management: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), manage budgets, and ensure profitability.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Expertise: Ensure the IP&A leaders and team members have a complete understanding of regulatory policies and practices including an understanding of compliance requirements.
  • Sustainability and Renewable knowledge: Share industry knowledge and experiences regarding sustainability and renewable policies and practices to assist clients in developing strategies.


Qualifications

  • Understanding of and experience in leadership positions in the utility industry.
  • Extensive experience in consulting, project management, or client services.
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Awareness of reliability, affordability, and sustainability challenges competitive energy initiatives and clean energy programs.
  • Demonstrated skills fostering strong client relationships and advancing TRC's leadership in the energy and utility industries.
  • Ability to support TRC Companies' values and culture commitments.

Minimum qualifications are those an applicant must possess to be considered a candidate for the position.

  • Bachelor's Engineering Degree, or equivalent field
  • 15 years' experience working in consulting or equivalent
  • Experience developing and filing rate case, supporting testimony and other regulatory materials
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Capable of maintaining a high energy level to handle a dynamic, fast-paced workload
  • Excellent organizational skills

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $245,965.00 - USD $288,878.00 /Yr.
