Job Title: Desktop Support Technician Location: Vergennes, VT Duration: Ongoing Compensation: Entry-level pay, based on experience Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Desktop Support Technician with at least 6 months of IT support experience to join a leading aerospace and defense organization in Vergennes, VT. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career to gain hands-on experience in a secure, structured environment. Responsibilities: * Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. * Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a Windows-based environment. * Assist with imaging, deployment, and configuration of systems. * Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking. * Follow IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance and security. Qualifications: * Minimum 6 months of hands-on IT support experience. * Familiarity with Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and remote support tools. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the client's work. Preferred: * Experience in a government, defense, or aerospace setting. * CompTIA A+, Security+, or other relevant certifications. * Exposure to ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Remedy. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
