DIVISION - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SECTION - CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE SECURITY AND RISK MANAGEMENT The Executive Director is the only statutorily required position at the Commission other than the Commissioners. Under PURA (Public Utility Regulatory Act) * 12.103, the Executive Director is responsible for the daily operations of the Commission and coordinates the activities of commission employees. The Executive Director reports to the Commissioners. The Executive Director's Office oversees the Critical Infrastructure Security and Risk Management (CISRM) and Energy Efficiency program areas, along with the Infrastructure, Legal, and Rate Regulation Divisions, ensuring effective leadership, strategic direction, and alignment with the agency's mission to protect Texas utility consumers and promote reliable utility services. Critical Infrastructure Security and Risk Management Are you energized by emergency preparedness and ready to take the lead on high-impact training and exercise initiatives? Critical Infrastructure Security and Risk Management (CISRM) is recruiting for a Critical Infrastructure Exercise Planner to support its program by coordinating emergency preparedness, response, and recovery training efforts. This role focuses on designing and executing training and exercise projects in partnership with ERCOT, utilities, and other public and private sector organizations. This position will also contribute to program development using Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) standards, analyze outcomes, and provide technical assistance to support the agency's emergency planning and evaluation goals. The ideal candidate should possess the following minimum qualifications: Program Specialist III: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in management, planning, public administration, or emergency management. Experience in a position involving utilities, emergency management, homeland security, public safety may be substituted for education on a year for year basis. Program Specialist IV: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in management, planning, public administration, or emergency management and a minimum of one (1) year full-time experience in a position involving utilities, emergency management, homeland security, public safety. Additional experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis. Program Specialist V: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in management, planning, public administration, or emergency management and a minimum of two (2) years full-time experience in a position involving utilities, emergency management, homeland security, public safety. Additional experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications:
WORK SCHEDULE The PUCT operates on a standard work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Employees may request an alternative work schedule in accordance with the PUCT's Alternative Work Schedule Policy. Approval of such requests, including any form of telecommuting, is at management's discretion and based on the business needs of the agency and the requirements of the position.
