DIVISION - TEXAS ENERGY FUND The Texas Energy Fund (TEF) Division administers grant and loan programs established by the Texas Legislature to enhance electric generation reliability across the state. Created by Senate Bill 2627 and approved by Texas voters in 2023, the TEF provides up to $10 billion in funding to support the construction, maintenance, modernization, and operation of dispatchable electric generating facilities. The division is responsible for implementing, administering, and monitoring four distinct TEF programs and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, programmatic caps, and legislative deadlines. Are you ready to lead program strategy and oversight for a new statewide program focused on strengthening Texas's electric infrastructure? The Texas Energy Fund Division is hiring a TEF Program Manager to provide leadership and coordination for the Texas Energy Fund (TEF) - a program created by Senate Bill 2627 to deliver grants and loans that support the construction and modernization of electric facilities in Texas. The TEF Program Manager will play a key role in the planning, execution, and oversight of grant and loan programs under the TEF Division. This position leads program implementation, manages internal workflows, tracks performance and compliance, and collaborates closely with agency leadership, stakeholders, and legislators to ensure alignment with agency goals and legislative direction. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in grants and loans program management who thrives in a strategic, high-impact environment and is committed to supporting the future of energy infrastructure in Texas. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess the following minimum qualifications. Bachelor's or post-graduate degree from accredited college or university in business administration, accounting, finance, management, economics, management information systems, or public policy; and Five (5) years of full-time experience administering or managing state or federally funded grant or loan programs. Preferred Qualifications:
WORK SCHEDULE The PUCT operates on a standard work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Employees may request an alternative work schedule in accordance with the PUCT's Alternative Work Schedule Policy. Approval of such requests, including any form of telecommuting, is at management's discretion and based on the business needs of the agency and the requirements of the position. VETERAN'S PREFERENCE Veterans, Reservists, or Guardsmen with a Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) or additional duties that fall in the fields listed in the below link who meet the minimum qualifications are encouraged to apply.
